What a weekend at the I64 duals! Thank you to everyone who came or watched and supported Capital City Wrestling! This tournament had a much different feel compared to last year. After a solid year of hard work and training, and another travel team
What a weekend at the I64 duals! Thank you to everyone who came or watched and supported Capital City Wrestling! This tournament had a much different feel compared to last year. After a solid year of hard work and training, and another travel team in the books, it seemed as though our confidence was much higher and friendships much stronger. The wrestlers fed off one another, picked each other up, and pushed each other towards a common goal! Important details to mention… we had multiples wrestlers scoring points and stacking pins - multiple guys scoring over 40+ pts throughout the weekend and earning 2+ pins! We are moving towards that mindset of dominating every match! From a performance benchmarking perspective, - Our high school team went 5-1. Last year, we went 2-4! - Our K-8 team went 3-3! Last year, we went 0-5! We had 4 champs in the open tournament compared to 0 last year. Great progress that will no doubt continue! Now, it is time to go back to work, evaluates areas to address, and keep on improving! #BuiltDifferent #CapCityFam

A weekend to remember for our Cap City youth wrestlers! We had a strong showing of youth wrestlers at Super 32 and even a few at the bounce back tournament down the road! These young wrestlers showed courage stepping on the line and challenging themselves! We all gained valuable experience and we had some guys walk away with some hardware! At Super 32, Arman Bassiri finished in 4th and Ryan Bassiri finished in 5th! At Bounceback, Violet Ogden, Francis Ogden, and Cody Holder took 1st! Way cooler than the outcomes of the weekend was the camaraderie between teammates! Guys were huddled together mat-side cheering their teammates on, having fun playing games between matches, and picking each other up after hard wrestled matches.
